All /v/ was when portal 2 came out was like >2 hr campaign >people having fun with rehashed puzzles >mfw I hate /v/.
Eh. Reddit is the biggest gathering of Valve fanboys I've seen. Say you diddnt like the Mann Co update and you have hundreds of "WELL IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT PLAY IT FAG." "WHY? VALVE IS THE BEST COMPANY EVER!" "GO BACK TO CALL OF DUTY". Not to mention the meme stealing and rage comics and then classing it as your own OC. /v/ has gone down the shitter though. They always look for the slightest problem and wont stop bitching. Still you do get some good threads.
Also just adding, story spoilers will be met with lengthy bans for the next few weeks. (you can make spoiler marked threads discussing it separately if need be) And lol at the vid.
The music reminds me of the james bond games where the music pickups dramatically when fighting or doing something and then does down a lot while running around lol
Unfortunately, I've been extremely sick for the past three days, so this is the first day I get to actually start playing it.

I wouldn't say they're useless, but early on they're not really effective as you need multiple augmentation upgrades to make full use out of it. I've gone primarly for the cranium augs.
Initial responses are I'm really enjoying it so far, it's living up to its name. Disappointed by a couple of things - mostly camera detection range far exceeds the visible projected cone and the lack of items you gain from exploring (although you do gain exp, might get better later). But yeah it's good so far, hoping it's not too short, won't rush it though. Also apparently it's mandatory to play it on "Give me Deus Ex" difficult (hard) or the AI is just dumb and unchallenging, so I'm playing on that. Went stealth + melee route (non lethal prod although I just bought the tranq rifle), it made clearing an open room with 6 people in quite challenging with no non lethal guns but I think the game would be too easy if you just went in shooting (like most games, Hitman, Splinter cell etc). It seems mandatory to get hacking level 2 pretty much instantly, as you're confronted with a lot of keypads and such that need it very early, so just got that and double melee takedowns so far.
