What if there was a graph or a histogram for your speed, that can be toggled(so those who don't like it don't have to use it) that is like a line graph over the span of 10 seconds or so? I think this would be great because it would allow you to see more easily when you loose a ton of speed, rather than having to constantly monitor your speed and remember how fast you were going. I know other servers do it, but I am sure that [BB] could put a unique spin on it!

Sounds interesting, could you link and example of another server using it or so?

I actually can't find a server that has it anymore o_O I found a video of someone a server that had it though about 2 mins in you can see it, dude can't surf so it's not the best example.

Edit: here is another video of some kid surfing, but it shows it off real nice

Can see it, wonder how useful it is in practice though, can see what others think!

Those histograms are for the person speaking and not for the actual surfers speed.

check the bottom left at 2:00, it goes up. The guy just can't surf for shit so he doesn't hit a speed for it to start showing.

That's actually really cool. Wonder why people ditched it in other servers.

I think it's a case of it being not all that useful. For optimisation purposes I can see the use (especially comparing side-by-side playback); but to the averge user I'd probably have this automatically disabled (as an example at least).

This, and I think maybe something to do with performance, not sure how much of an fps hit it can cause.

In theory you'd be looking at a tiny performance hit realistically, unless other people were implementing it poorly.
