This is an open thread for all community members to post their thoughts on the addition of a Climb Server. Players would have to ability to compete for times with/without checkpoints much like the leader boards on the surf server, as well as earn cubes for their efforts. Would you play? Is it something that you would enjoy? Feel free to share, as your feedback is appreciated.
Seeing as Climb has kind of died out, I would love for us to have that addition onto our server. I feel like it could potentially get us more players to join BB and to broaden their horizons and maybe open them up to the other servers we provide. I know some people on BB have been talking about wanting to actually play the game mode but there being a lack of actual servers hosting it. I personally would play it and I know a few others that would too.
Tbh I've not really heard of or played on a Climb server, maybe could link a decent video of it and some background on the gamemode? (I'm guessing you just climb stuff in basic terms lol)
It looks interesting, are there many maps for it? I can see players being interested in it if we had a ladder etc like Surf.

I believe this would make this server more popular and more interesting since it seems ttt has died out. I feel this would be a great add to it. I believe it would interest people in the server -Lightning
In regards to this, are you suggesting people try it to get their fix; or are you trying to show it's popular enough to be its own standalone thing (and thus worth / not worth it)?
Showing it's popular enough. I don't know if it would be worth it the last climb server I saw was always dead
Test server available at 96.44.144.140:27015 The server can be considered Beta. It's not close to being finalised and bugs will be encounted. Autohop is available. Certain settings between surf and climb will be shared. No cubes can currently be earned. Current map playtime is not final and is just default
Applied a few updates Upon completing a map, your last saved point is wiped out. Re-enabled socket connectivity. This means people on Climb can /csc to other servers (they wont be able to receive) and climb will broadcast when it changes level / people are playing Position saving system will no longer attempt to save if you're not considered to be on the ground. Map duration is now 1 hour.
Minor change, sv_airaccelerate is now 40 to see how this affects gameplay and to see if it works better for maps like xc_egypt.
