Well all I can say is, if it was no where near as bad as BL1. How on earth did they make the money to create BL2. From idiots who think it is a awsome game?
I've only seen a stream of it and played it at Rezzed. At Rezzed it was extremely fucking buggy, but really fun compared to Boringlands. Now I've seen a stream of it and while it seems great fun all those fucking internet memes and references just make me cringe.
The first Borderlands did bore me a little, and I was mostly along for the ride with friends that were obsessed with it. I pre-ordered two, thinking the same would happen (granted, even the first one was rather enjoyable with times playing multiplayer), but I I'm actually enjoying it much more than the first. Although, I can't really recommend either if you don't have anyone to play it with, because that's half of what makes Borderlands for me.
It seems great so far although I'm only level 12, I liked the first one but this seems to be better than it. All the pop-culture references and memes can become a bit exasperating, but Claptrap keeps me entertained.
I may try it out then just to see these supposed differences. The in-your-face pop cultures already make it seem bit of a turn off though.
I never took time to play BorderLands 1 because I simply didn't like it's cartoony style. I find it look like a pretty childish game, short saying: a no-go for me.
Anyone who judges a game purely by its graphics is pretty short sighted. You never play minecraft? This game is certainly not for "children" And contains lots of adult humour
There's nothing childish about blowing peoples heads off, so you're basically it entirely on appearance - which is never a good idea, because some of the best games have looked pretty awful, and even fantasy orientated.
I play Minecraft yes, and you just misunderstanded me. I am not saying I only base it on graphics fuck, I even played BL 2 myself now. And I must say it is as I expected: Not my style, like I stated in my earlier post.
The game is far from childish, probably the most violent game I've played this year, Kaiden finished the rest of my post off.
Liked the game so far, same-ish story line. Still looking for a vault. Still kicking ass and killing the acid-tripping residents of Pandora.
Apparently Siren got the healing tree, which sucks cause I liked playing the solider with a shotgun for that - shooting people in the face with a shotgun with the cauterize talent to heal them for full health - always fun.
