So it's been brought to my attention an unannounced and unwelcome change has been inflicted upon Surf in the past week. The flashlight (F) as we know it has been tampered with, and no longer does it make a noise that we've grown to love and appreciate. The silent flashlight, a broken, lacklustre version of its former self, can no longer be used to communicate your presence, or even get the attention of those alt-tabbed from their game. Our glorious leader has decreed, as a democratic state, that if the majority favour a return of the flashlight to its former glory, then it shall be granted. Join me in ushering in this important and revolutionary change, for the betterment of the server as a whole. (Poll runs for 7 days, posted on behalf of Sad, who I dedicate this post to).

I noticed this atrocity a few days ago, and thought it to be a client-side bug. Now that I know our glorious leader has betrayed our trust, I stand united against him in order to bring back the flashlight!
This is an outrage. How could you tamper with such a necessary element of the server? We cannot live in this world of madness!
I can always replace it with a foghorn if people want? The loudest, most obnoxious one possible and you won't be able to turn it off.
So Teddi, the people have spoken and it's pretty unanimous. Can we see the return of our trusty flashlight sound by the end of the week please? It'll be great to put all this unpleasantness behind us.
I heave heard your pleas. The flashlight sound will be coming back - but not in its current iteration. It is something however that I think everyone will find amicable.
After many long negotiations and threats of industrial action, a compromise may yet be reached, so will keep everyone updated on this vital topic.
It was a long a unforgiving journey, but we will finally have our beloved flashlight click noise back.
