New HUD Competition

I can't really think of anything else besides the simplest you CAN get:

I also had included ammo for optional

Hud #1:

H - Health
A - Ammo

Hud #2:

This one holds an outline around the bars which this is similar to html colgroups


Hud #3:


Hud #4:

This gives an emot representation of the amount aswell:
Unhappy - <=59-0/100
Happy - <=90-100/100
Smile - <=89-60/100



Hud #5:
This gives a vertical approach and displays the amount inside both bars


As you can see, all of them give the same color variety and simplicity, but I can't really think of anything else that doesn't include complex images, alien-like images, and unknown colors.

I try to keep it as to the point as possible, and user-friendly to the client.

I was going to do something with Animation but I don't know how well that would go with Lua

With prettier colours and more roundness.

 

I like to have a funky icon model in the corner to show the user that is them running in that model

I like the simple approach better. Not a big fan of the little icons for the health bar and such. But anything is better than the HL2 default hud... it's just so bland.

 

I think Tubbi's bar with Welsh's player icon thing would be an awesome combination.

 

I'll see what I can do after I finish this game of TF2.
