Privateer Update #1

    We don't have a privateer forum as of yet, however here's a changelog as of what has occurred so far and is live on the server.

    • BB Profiles load correctly and will update time played and last played as expected.
    • Platinum Admin is active on here
    • Added Workshop downloads (sProps and Privateer [BB] Content)
    • Disabled the pre-existing content system
    • Huge cleanup of non-used / non-working files
    • Overhauled the entire area system for noclipping and ports
      • The Area system has the capability to check within the same system if a player should be able to noclip and if they're at port or not.
      • This will be updated further to cater for zoning specifically.
    • AFK system removed in favour for access to the BBase AFK system
    • Fixed sails not 'sticking'
    • Fixed Cannons / Cannonballs not adhering to port rules
    • Overhauled and removed several redundant features for performance issues#
    As per a new thing I'm going to try with each of these update releases, a possible "future" release guide;
    These things are currently in production and are working in an alpha, beta, or release state.

    • An event system is being introduced to allow for a more interesting experience. These typically can be just a change of music whilst sailing to fighting, or having murky creatures from the depths suddenly churn the oceans around you
    • Pieces of Eight will become a currency stored via the database.
      • Expected usage will be for upgrades of various kinds, for example cannonballs and so on
    • Currently investigating for compatibility with the GMod driving system
    • Fishing will be available, notably in two specific formats
      • Crab / Cage fishing, dropping a cage into the Ocean with a light buoy attached to let you know of the position. Will require diving to retrieve 100% of the items inside.
      • Go-Fish style of fishing. Grab a rod, sit down for a bit and enjoy some light fishing with who knows what being fished out
        • Please note that fishing in an area for too long will deplete it and as a result you will need to move on.
        • Fishing in port is not possible
    • Water no longer exhausts you in all of ten seconds
    • The ship core will take 3x damage if submerged underwater for longer than an unspecified period of time
    • Minimum ship size has been reduced.
    • Containers for storing fish have been introduced.

    fishing? fishing?! FISSSSHSINGGG
    but yes this is a pretty nice update about Privateer! Can't wait to see some of these features if they are ever added :D

    Most are already in the codebase anyhow, it's just fleshing them out.
