    • The rules that apply to all our servers can be seen at https://rules.bbservers.co.uk/. Not knowing of the rules or disagreeing with them is not grounds for a complaint/appeal. What is considered dumb/not acting with common sense is ultimately at our discretion.
    • We do not "ban" players - you are likely muted (via being placed in the ballpit, a separate voice channel) - please don't state you've been banned when you haven't. As a muted player you can still play our servers, you have just been restricted from engaging with our community.
    • We hold the final say on all decisions and outcomes. Becoming aggressive or abusive here will not help you achieve your goal.
    • If you are angry whilst reading this, we suggest cooling off for a few hours before posting. This can help gain clarity and help remember this is a video game.
    Appealing a Punishment or making a Complaint

    You are entitled to appeal a punishment that has been applied to you by an Admin on the servers or Discord.

    When making an appeal post, please include/note the following;
    • Why you are appealing the punishment.
    • Your Steam ID, in-game name and/or the Punishment ID from Aegis (link above).
    • The punishment should have longer than 24 hours remaining (we are unlikely to review your appeal within 24 hours, so appealing these are moot).
    If you are raising a complaint about a member of staff, please be objective and provide evidence as needed. Where this isn't provided we're inclined to side with our staff over unsubstantiated claims.

    Requesting a Punishment

    If you are on the server and witnessing unwanted behaviour (such as mic spam, abuse towards other players etc), please use /admin to make a report. This is by far the best way to report players in real time, so an Admin can join and take appropriate action.

    If for whatever reason you'd prefer to make a post after the fact, you can do so in this section. Please include/note the following;
    • Who you are making a complaint about - this should include at least their in-game name and ideally their Steam ID.
    • When the offence occurred (date/time).
    • Why you are making the complaint (what have they done, who has it impacted etc).
    • What evidence are you providing -
      • For mis-use of voice chat, you must have a video of the evidence, whether a demo in-game or an unedited clip from screen capture software.
      • For mis-use of text chat, you must have an unedited screenshot of the console showing the offending text.
      • Without evidence a punishment will not be applied.

    Thread has been updated, a few threads have been merged and this should be considered the de-facto guidance for appeals and complaints for 2022 onwards.
