Ok, so, pretty much my steam decided that it hated me, and wont let me play ANY games. I try to launch Gmod, and steam says it launches, but it never actually does, and C:SS i can launch, but i cant do anything once ive gotten to the starting screen. Halp! P.S. This is my original account, as I couldnt get the recover password to work for my usual one.
I had this problem earlier today I dunno I think it's steam doing some bullshit, it randomly stopped happening.
lucky heres a pic of my desktop when I launch Gmod. This is 5 mins after, and although you cant see the bottom (sorry) garrys mod is non-existant.

yeah, i launched it, then launched my Guild Wars trial, and then it suddenly decided to work. So eh, whatever, ive got Gmod back.
