Let's replay Borderlands! If anyone's up for co-op, post here. Or maybe you want to play it for the first time, in which case, check this http://internet-games.suite101.com/article.cfm/borderlands_class_guide_for_xbox_360_ps3_pc Oh, and http://bbservers.co.uk/dblog/ Definite team: Whitefang Zeke (333) John Brown (Cool person) Possible team: GMan George (Doesn't really like it, and I'm not forcing anyone) Bundt (Thinks it's fun) Zephyr (Only says he has it, didn't say he wanted to be in) Robert Benson (Missed you somehow?) (Does like the game)
I have it on PC. To be honest I never finished the game I just stopped playing it. Probably cause I was doing singleplayer.
I have it. But its a shit game with GRINDIN' GRINDIN' ALL THE TIME. If it was MMO then I guess I would enjoy but instead its like a MMORPG with only 4 people at a time. But I'll join if I have to (wiped my save file so I'm going to be lvl1)
I think my gamespy name is either Zekeunreal or Zeke1902 I forget, if you guys wanna play let's set up a time and get a group going.
Mabey, but I like FPS and RPG's. Borderlands said they mixed both but instead I got Shitty Grindin' fest with a medicore shooter attached. The RPG aspect is laughable, the shooting is so dull and boring, all the guns they promised are just clones of the same 20 models but with a little bit more damage, the driving is HORRIBLE and there is no REAL plot.
I'll agree with the driving, they could have done it much better, but to me I enjoyed the rest of it. They took a shooter at heart and added subtle RPG elements such as the skills and loot, instead of the Fallout approach of taking an RPG, and adding a shitty first person shooter element (in my opinion at least). The guns aren't just 20 models re-textured, there's many parts for each gun type (smg, sniper, rocket launcher etc) which are thrown together based on the name and that part varies the stat. A lot do look alike though, which starts to bore me after the many, many hours I've put into, since you never find anything that new. Over all, I think it's a great game and hope to get into PC Borderlands with some people here, but hey, I can see where you're coming from in most aspects. *I don't argue the plot because it's there, but yet it's not. You have to read the quest dialogues in the quest log to get any sense of depth, and not everyone does that*
It's not there at all. I like a Game in which story and gameplay are tied toghter (with the expection of FPS such as Serious Sam and Doom) there is only two plot points, the intro in which it explains why you are there, and the ending where you verus some vagina monster. The characters have no depth or character, instead they act as "Talk to this guy to kill more of the same bandits". This where I prefer Fallout 3 over borderlands. The gameplay was complete and utter shit and most skills where OP as fuck (Max out Repair: Never die again) but since there was some good writing behide it. I like it as much as I hate it. I dont see any fun about killing the same bloke for the billionth time.
Grinding is a term used in video gaming to describe the process of engaging in repetitive and/or non-entertaining gameplay in order to gain access to other features within the game. Quest 1: Go into a scrapyard and kill bandits Quest 2: Go into a scrapyard and kill bandits to get a item Quest 3: Go into a scrapyard and kill bandits to go kill a boss Quest 4: Go into a area and kill a certain amount of wildlife Quest 5: Drive to a area to do Quest 1 or Quest 4 Sounds like Grinding to me.
