    Code:
Failed to get encoder for specified Codec.

Unable to initialize outbound codec (GSM 6.10 - 11 KHz, 16 bit): Unable to find the specified codec.

I can't hear anyone in the [BB] Ventrilo server, or any Ventrilo server really, because of this error. Google has been absolutely no help. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I'm on Vista, which is likely the problem.

That happened to me when my mic wasnt plugged in properly. Try pulling it out and in.

The jack might be slightly loose.

I have never installed any sort of addon for Ventrilo, ever.

Nope, my mic is securely plugged in and it won't work.

    That's what you think.

To topic; Uh, make sure you have latest version, compatible sound-card, updated drivers, and keep trying Google etc. Send them an Email too.
