LOL, my old social studies teacher told me about it. He lived in the Middle East for a while, and when he heard that the tallest man-made structure in the world would be there, he was ecstatic.
The two buildings to the left really look similar to some of the Citadel concept art in "Raising the Bar". Also I hope that is fog and not pollution.
Damn, my dad's pissed off about this. When I mentioned the Burj Dubai, he said that the only reason that the UAE was able to create the Burj Dubai was because they abused countless Indians, Pakistanis, and others. Most of the people involved in creating the Burj Dubai were immigrants. I understand why my dad feels this way, because he lived in India for around three years, and saw how the Indian people were living in terrible poverty. To see them further abused just pisses him off.

This doesn't really amaze me. One day many years from now you can look out at the skyline and see nothing but buildings bigger or at least this size. Of course, we will probably all be dead by then.
