Like teddi said you should take nod32,owns all.I use it.You have also to realized that some anti-virus may exagerate that you have a lot of virus, some anti-virus counts cookies that track what you do as virus,so it start to adds up.Delete that stupid gay anti-virus and use nod32.

Ad-aware is a good program, and like any anti-x program it can provide unfortunate false positives. Whats the location of the file it's found?

Basically, what Spybot does, is it's an extra layer of protection. When it detects a registry key is changed, or added, or whatever else, it asks do you want to accept or deny the action. This can be turned off, but it only usually happens during installing something.

    Lay of porn.

    Download Firefox.

Do not download anything that is fishy.

Do not open emails you do not know the sender.

Do NOT download windows updates and use their shitty protection bullshit.

Heres what I do when I get some malicious virus. I use adaware and if that doesn't work a simple system restore normally does the trick or I found the source and delete it manually.

And that is the inapt users guide to paranoia and pc's.

    Ok, firstly.

Yes, download firefox. Then get Adblock Plus and Noscript. They work together very nicely. Automatically, you can pretty much browse as much porn as you want without fear of downloading any backdoors or active X scripts. If you don't know the sender like Bob said, ignore the email. DO download windows updates. Why? Because if you don't your pc is more vunerable and pretty much can be crapped on. So Bob is basically crapping on his own anus. Check to ensure Ad-aware isnt giving a false positive. If it's the case and safemode doesn't work, you need to turn off System restore, then go into safe mode and then clean it. The reason being Is I believe you have a worm which is safely hiding in your registery. Do that, and it should be ok.

If you question is Firefox unsafe? Yes, it's probably the most secure web browser there is. There's a reason we've made most of the damn site FF only, and thats because FF is safer and more secure, at least 1.4x faster than IE and it can be modified. IE is utter crap. Recently there was a huge vunerability in it which took MS 48 hours to patch. Fun thing is, FF has never has a vunerability issue, and each update is just fixing / optimizing vgui code. If you prefer the look of IE, guess what, there's FF skins which make FF look like IE. You have no damn reason to not get it.

Alright, re-downloaded all windows. Btw, system restore wouldn't work. The virus wiped out all previous back ups. :( But it should be good now. Also, there were about 5 other users using my unprotected internet, so I got it protected now too so it's really fast. And I also use firefox, no more IE. Thanks again.

Caution: Viruses may be hidden under your system restores! To get rid of this, go under Control Panel, System, and click on the Tab "System Restore." Check Turn off all System Restore on all drives. Do a virus search, delete all viruses, and you're good to go. Glad to help.
