Dont ever, ever get Talk Talk as your network provider. They cut off phone and internet for over 10 hours without any notice or warning. Almost gave me a heart attack, since I thought I was caught pirating.

Anyway I manged to get a bit of Sin Vida before my broadband went kaput. Have a pointless video.

I can guarantee you that my network provider, Demon, is worse.

They suddenly introduced a Fair Usage Policy without notifying us, we then proceeded to overgo this limit by a few gigabytes. For the next week, I had to download homework at 0.1kb/s.

    Good times.

Scoff, Comcast is worse. Zeke may be able to attest to this, but Comcast is the most unstable, untruthful piece of crap I know. Basically, it's out ALL the time (meaning the tele is also out), and you don't get but a quarter of the internet speed you pay for UNTIL you call them and bitch at them for a bit. Then it's fast for a while, but the next day it's back down to what it was before.

Here in the UK we have some decent providers. BT and Virgin being the best but most expensive (its a tad overpriced). But Talk Talk. They promised a 3.5 mb download speed.

This is what we got instead

Virgin really isn't one of the best. We pay for a 10mb Line and yet they refuse to install a line capable of over 5.5mb

    *sigh*

Comcast is shit, I attest to this fully. Random lag spikes, loss of internet, they've been caught cutting back internet speed a few times and purposely slowing down P2P protocol users (which resulted in a lawsuit that they lost and I got $15 for). I have a different telephone provider so I don't know about that, but I am forced to use comcast for TV, which after having DirectTV does not compare in any way, it's absolute garbage that's outdated. I've had the damn thing turn my tv off while I'm watching something, or even DVR programs that I'm watching just delete themselves WHILE I'M WATCHING IT! That's not even the beginning of the shit I have to deal with and comcrap. I've called them so many times, most of the time they don't do shit but I'm so persistent that they really haven't been fucking around with my internet for a while now, which is good.

In the UK, Virgin is the best for Fiber / Cable. Plus on a new contract, 10MB only costs something like £12.99 with a phoneline. (We actually took out a new contract to get cheaper prices, figures, I've got 20MB now). If you want ADSL2, Be* / BeThere are the best. 24mb for £17.99.

But yeah, TalkTalk are pretty shit. BT is the worst (ask Killermon, he works for them).

This is NOTHING I pay for 20 effing mb, generally I get around 3-5 mb. Unless I call them up and bitch at them. Then I get circum 20, for a day.

This is what I get from Comcast, and I can attest to the horrible reliability of Comcast, a gust of wind goes by, whoops you've lost internet/cable.

There not the greatest, but the highest ive gotten on a download is like 1mb. They used to be pretty bad on connection, but it seems they've gotten their act together this year.

The download speed you're getting is about correct for what you're paying for. Can't forget that SpeedTest goes in Mb (megabits), not MB (megabytes).
