Yea if you go on the forums they call this a separate game or something I dunno so they say it won't be free for alpha owners.
Meh, they said all versions of Minecraft though and although it's on a new platform, it's technically still a version and as a result uses the same code. It doesn't surprise me Notch is pulling this nor am I honestly that bothered as I'm not going to play MC on my phone, however it's just the underlying principle which annoys me.
Indeed, he knows people will actually buy it again. But I just dled it on my rooted Android for free so idc.
Wonder if it'll work on my Xoom. Also, I have the indev license, do you think I get if for free? Edit: Just checked, not compatible with Xoom.
The game is now officially available for all android devices, I got it, and installed it on my tab and my phone.
IMHO creative was the only fun minecraft, what do you do on survival? OH! now you have to work for your materials to make things! So much fun!
For me, the initial fun of survival was the exploration and challenge, but it started to get dull after a while. I've gone back to having fun building stuff in creative, without the extra work of crafting my materials.
I just don't like hungermod, or getting killed by mobs while trying to build then losing my location.
I like survival in some senses because it's fun to have a challenge. Plus playing by yourself in creative mode is p. shit.
If anyone's playing by themselves in minecraft(unless it's their first time) then they're doing it wrong.
I actually felt the same way for a really long time (I actually had a really popular server, anyone remember it? I know a couple BB people played it), then a good friend had me play Survival at her house, showed me the basics and all (I still felt it was REALLY strange having to wait for blocks to break), and then I just kinda stopped playing Classic and Survival took up all of my time. Edit: Minecraft on my Xoom = wonderful, except I will not get any work done now, although I suppose I could have just installed it on my computer at the office... And probably did anyways.
