Was camping the forums when out of the blue my computer reset and basically exploded. It won't make it past the windows loading screen without randomly reseting. Currently reinstalling windows, but any ideas why this happened?

After you reinstall windows, you don't need to do a virus scan... Your computer will be virus free.

I always format all my drives when i reinstall windows, it's the right way to go. Although, it does take more time to get all teh drivers again, and install all your shit.. plus you have to back it all up (Which you should do like every week anyway).

Unfortunately, not a cheap one (as far as I know), no. I brought mine to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they said that I would have to get a new graphics card. However, it works great now. Make sure it's your graphics card by hooking up your hardware to another monitor/labtop using a USB plug (I think). If it's still bad, then it's your graphics card. If not, dunno. In case you were wondering, I know all this from spending many hours talking to Best Buy's Iranian phone tech supporters. ;)

Sounds like memory failure. Graphics card destruction would cause tearing, dodgy screen images etc etc. Bluescreens are caused by driver failure and faulty memory. More often the former.
