Well as of next Friday, the 27th, i will officially been layed off from my state job due to budget cuts. I kinda got the feeling when they called my office and asked me to go see the supervisor that i was being layed off. This fucking sucks... And it going to kill me because i used the money from this to go to college... Now i have to apply for unemployment....
Well after three months you can always file for an extension. Unemployment will usually give you the 6 months with ease, but I wonder how people go by on Unemployment for 2 years, that's just bullshit. Sorry to hear that though.
Thats not to bright lol, i want killzone 2 but i get my second to last paycheck the 27th.... cant really spend it on games..
Well things mite get better, I mite get a job as an TEA for the sheriff department here where i live. TEA means "Training Employee Authorization". They give me a uniform, badge, everything, except a gun and stun gun. I also cant make arrests. Its basically a training program for students who are taking the law enforcement course. Its a year long, same as the course, and i get payed.. I'm excited.
I have always had a very good job. A job that some people wish they could have. I have enough references to get me into some good jobs. Y'all know what a reference is right? A person of respect or responsibility of the county or community writes a letter of recommendation to your future employer. I got Refs from the State Attorney, the Fiscal Director of the State Attorney, School board, and a lot more. The job i got was only given to me, the State attorney, which is a elected official, came to my moms cafe and gave me and my brother $300 each just to come work for him in the court house aka the 14th circuit of the State. The state attorney did not get re-elected though. So the new guy came in, promising lots of things, and only made it worse, so they had to make cuts to deal with the problems. Now the job i'm looking into now at the sheriff department is also a good one. I personally know the Sheriffs son, i meet him at a party, drank a few beers and watched him smoke weed. I asked him recently to contact his dad for me and he said his dad had been asking about me because of my application i sent in for internship for the course. I'm really excited about it though.
