Just wanting to gauge peoples opinions on a map reset. The update screwed up quite a lot, namely peoples inventories, locations, stored items in chests - and also anything in the nether. Also anything made of wood seemed to randomly set on fire like Pots house. (which was fine with lava in the centre till the update =/) So up to people. I've put plenty of time into building stuff much like others on here so I'll leave it up to you, if you don't want to it won't happen, but right now the server seems quiet as people have built pretty much what they want, I figure with a reset it might get people playing, for a while anyway. EDIT: It's new reset with a new map on.
I don't mind a reset, but I'll back the old world up first in case we ever need to grab something from it.
Yeah thanks Teddi I hadn't noticed yet with my ~8 hours in 1.9 and stuff. Why 322 though? I always suicide like crazy because it's easier than getting food.
I demand my 4600 wood back! But yeah i'd play again if there was a reset, Also I want some sort of rules as per killing other players etc, Edit: I want killing to be allowed btw, With either specific limits or no limits.
There should be territory wars and shit. I'd get a whole bunch of people that would be willing to play and follow the rules to join.
I never had an issue with pvp as such. More just general griefing of some areas. You can have your territories or w/e, but I'm not installing that shitty factions mod.

Apparently Notch changed how lava/fire worked or something. When you could have a lavaflow in the centre of your house prior to the update, after the patch it worked differently and burnt stuff down. (Was speaking to Zizak about it) The resets been done at any rate and the new maps up. Unfortunately the spawn is in some ugly mushroom biosphere but only slightly, 30 seconds walk and you're out of it. There's decent mountains right behind the spawn which we'll probably start building on/around/decent valley in the centre. Or just go explore, I made the spawn safe and it's guarded by a giant statue of me so yeah. (Will set up nethergates when there's a few different populated locations scattered about in the future) On PvP, it's allowed but yeah like Teddi said no griefing. That includes spawn camping, trashing peoples stuff and the like. Stealing is acceptable if they've left it out in the open but don't go breaking walls and such to get to chests. Just be courteous, if you're in full iron armour with a diamond sword, consider if you need to kill them to achieve what you want, when all they have is a wooden spade. Most people just want to build and if people expressively explain they're not interested in PvP'ing then try to avoid killing them.
