    I couldnt work out what i even had to do with it so i gave up.

    Is it a modloader thing?

    Do you see the minimap in the upper right hand corner of the picture?

    It's like GTA, it shows your surrounding area on a little map, and it allows you to use waypoints to easily locate things.

    And it also displays your current coordinates without the need to press f3.

    I'm pretty sure that's the server version that's why.
