I would, Only reason why RP is hard to get active is because there are a shit load of other servers doing it. But they all suck imo. But anyways, RP will be done when its done.
We've been here before. Everyone goes "oh I would go on it!!11!!" and then that server actually does become a ghost town.
Thats because its old. You could just re-name it RP10, give it cubes and hats. And it would be popual for a while.
Or I could focus mostly on roleplay, instead of wasting time on something that no one for sure would play.
Teddi, people are going to complain no matter what. When it's released there will be complaints that it's not exactly what RP08 was, and then if you make it strongly resemble that, it won't be good enough, and if that is improved, then it'll be something else. The thing about this is that it doesn't reflect the ideas of the community at large.
That's because it's difficult to do that without making it suck. Also, why do the people who've never played RP08 talk about it like they have?
i honestly would but once there are 0 people on it then it's hard to get the population back up since it wouldn't be so popular
I played it when it was up for a while back October. The most players that was ever on at one time was 7 players. After that it was normally 1-2.
Well anyone wanting it to resemble RP08 may as well leave now. Because one thing is for sure. It looks nothing like RP08.
I'll repeat this again, a roleplay gamemode is fucking boring to develop. I have random spurs of productivity in which I get shit done, but otherwise, I have no motivation. What we really need is another coder or an artist.
Is fien but I can't magically teach you everything. You have to make some effort yourself and mainly be open to it. I learned by starting with simple shit and bugging Teddi whenever I needed something.
Uh, when/if my job starts allotting more free time (usually in the next couple months) I can start learning more Lua. I already know a couple languages including C++, Java (extensively), and a little Python.
So you haven't "really" played it. More on-topic, Putting rp08 back up seems pretty pointless, Old players aren't going to come back for it and new players will be minimum due to competition.
