Its a hit, but apparently there aren't many servers running it because rumour is that one 50 slot DayZ server used a Terabyte of bandwidth in a month or less, just by its self.

Ive been playen it alot lately, its insanely addicting, over 15 servers always cram packed.

I seem to have becomea bandit due to my team snipeing of 10 people

Wat, that should be near enough impossible unless every single NPC movement is sent to the client.

You can get the initial Arma II for free from http://www.arma2.com/free, but you need the OA addon, which is currently £15 on steam. Wanted to try it before purchasing really.

Depends, I'd stick to the EU servers. Still dunno if I'm buying it yet though!

If we can get a bunch of people to jump on Mumble and play I would play for hours.

Apparently, you need ArmA II: CO, so you'll need to fork out $25, but it includes OA. I am so very very tempted to buy it.

Ignore that, it's because CO include ArmaII and OA

I'd happily play this just for the experience.

Went the cheaper route of payment at Green Man Gaming and suffering with slow download speed, Around 3 1/2 hrs just for Arma 2 to download, let alone OA.

That slow download speed is my fast download speed :V. Downloading through Steam now, but will take 3.5 hours to do OA alone. You only need OA, but they advise you have ARMA II as well.

Hopefully we might be able to get a game together tonight or tomorrow if anyone's interested!

Fortunately, my little brother already had both games, so I've just copied the files, got steam to verify and BAM!

Word of the wise, the cities of Chernogorsk and Elektrozvodsk are usualy very populated by people looking for loot, so unless your willing to run into people and risk getting ambushed, backstabbed, sniped, eaten "Usualy full of zombies to" or run over, avoid like the plauge, while in open spaces, be aware if you think a sniper may be watching, chances are there is one watching, people also use the map to setup trap markers, like listing a working car, or a loot cache or who knows what else.

You also are labled a bandit pretty quick if you kill another player, I killed one and got an instant bandit tag and skin, and people usualy shoot bandits on sight, apparently if you are actualy wounded by the player you shoot, you wont get the tag, or if you kill a bandit, but killing somone without being shot, or them not being a bandit= near instant bandit status "Its a flawed system and their working on it"

Found this in regards to Chernogorsk. And who wants to play tonight so we can get a good team going? I'm down after the installs, ~2 hrs on ARMA 2 and haven't started OA yet.
